DISHARMONISER
TENTEKI / HUMATIC;

THE DIS<_>HARMONISER ENVIROMENT TURNS REAL SPACE INTO A MOVEMENT-SENSITIVE AUDIO-VISUAL
LABORATORY, A QUEST FOR THE PERFECT (DIS)HARMONY OF IMAGE AND SOUND IN ACCESSIBLE SPACE.
THE ENVIROMENT IS A CLOSED SPACE WITH THREE CONNECTED SCREENS, EACH OF WHICH HAS ITS
ACOUSTIC SOURCE. OUTSIDE THE BOX, FOUR VISITORS CAN OBBSERVE THE RECIPIENT DURING HIS OR
HER QUEST FOR HARMONY: EQUIPPED WITH HEADPHONES, THEY ARE PUT INTO THE POSITION TO FOLLOW
THE GOINGS ON THOUGH A PEEPHOLE. THE RECIPIENT IS GUIDED THROUGH DIFFERENT SCENARIOS WHICH
HE OR SHE CAN PLAY SIMILAR TO INSTRMENTS. AS SOON AS THE OBSERVER STARTS TO MOVE IN THE
SPACE, THE ACOUSTIC WORLD AND THE VIOSUAL WORLD WILL FOLLOW HIS OR HER MOVEMENTS. THE
RESPECTIVE SCENARIO IS TO BE INVESTIGATED WITHOUT ANY DIDACTIC INRODUCTION - MERE INTENTION
CREATES PERFECT HARMONY AND MAKES IT PERCEPTIBLE. ANIMATIONS AND SOUND CAN BE EXCHANGED
WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL SCENARIOS THUS CREATING UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES OF COMBINATION AND
INTENSIFYING THE EXPERIENCE.
