Die in Polen geborene Ela Orleans siedelte nach Glasgow und Brooklyn über, wo auch ihre musikalische Laufbahn begann. Sie spielt mehrere Instrumente von Violine, Gitarre, Piano bis zu Sampler und Spielzeuginstrumente. Ihre Lo-Fi-Musik kann man gut als organischer Folktronica bezeichnen mit einer Mischung aus psychedelischem Blues, Bossa Nova und Afro-Pop. Auf La Station Radar veröffentlichte Ela Orleans ihr erstes Album „Lost“ sowie eine weitere Split-LP mit Dirty Beaches. Und schliesslich erschien auf dem schottischen Label Clan Destine ihre aktuelle und grossartige Doppel-LP „Tumult in the Clouds“ für welches sie für den Dead Albatross Music Prize (alternativer Mercury Prize) nominiert ist. Wir freuen uns sehr auf den ersten Zürcher Auftritt von Ela Orleans. "
